Donation Policy

BOOTS ON THE GROUND, INC. (BOTG, BOTG-NGO) is a nonprofit corporation operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and humanitarian purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.

100% Rule

Since the very beginning, we’ve had one goal main in mind: to help others. We decided long ago that we didn’t want to be like the major non-profit groups who spend millions of dollars on administrative costs. If you trust us with your hard earned money, we want to honor you and those we serve by putting every single penny into projects that change lives. The only time we’ll ever use funds given to us for administrative costs is if you specifically allow it. Period. No exceptions.

Refunds

At Boots on the Ground, we work hard to ensure you have a trouble-free journey when making a donation and we want to make it as smooth as possible. However we realize that sometimes errors can happen. If you are in the United States, we will honor your request for a refund or to change the amount if you contact us within 7 (seven) days. Please use our contact form here. Once that period has lapsed, we regret that we are unable to offer refunds.

In the United Kingdom, we regret that under charity law, we are not permitted to refund donations, other than in specific circumstances. The Charities Act 2011 can be found here.

However, there may be an occasion when you need to speak to one of our Supporter Care Team to discuss your donation. Please use the contact form provided above or call us toll free in the United States at the number found in the header of this website.

We are committed to the highest standards of legal compliance and we treat all requests for refunds with the utmost importance and care. Your concerns are incredibly important to us and we want to reassure you that we’ll update you every step of the way.

Other Ways To Donate

There are other ways to give besides using a credit card or Paypal. For example, if you’d like to donate real estate or other real property such as cars, boats, or paintings, or if you’d like to donate a gift in kind (such as services), please use our contact form to get in touch with us.

Always consult a tax professional regarding charitable donations.
